International Identification Clinics

  1. Home
  2. International Identification Clinics

The AYFI International Identification clinics have been designed to attract players whom would like to show their abilities and skills in front of scouts from abroad. Our vision is to provide opportunities for our youth to be identified and possibly have their profiles passed on to various clubs that are on the look out for the next upcoming future Australian footballer. So often we hear of big name clubs from the Europe partnering with our local clubs looking for that next child who has the ‘X Factor’ and that could be nourished abroad with very little time and expense. At AYFI our vision is to have talent scouts visit our facilities that are connected with a vast range of national and international clubs; therefore increase the opportunities for our trialists to be identified and to be provided a successful pathway. Damian Matthew is a talent scout and a very experienced coach, he has played and managed some of the UK's biggest clubs and is also a current English FA coach educator. Damian is currently working for club giants Everton and Chelsea, he has also had the fortune of coaching EFL Championship team Charlton Athletic. Damian most importantly has the direct pathway to professional football within the English FA and most european clubs. Damian Mathew will be assisted by Lewis Stewart, Lewis is a goal keeping coach and scout of the highest level. Lewis works for Accrington Stanley as the youth team Goal keeper coach as well as the academies goal keeping coach. Lewis has also worked for Everton Football Club as a community scout as well as working for Liverpool Football club in Scandinavia as a football camps goal keeping coach. Lewis's qualifications are: FA Goalkeeping and outfield coaching qualifications, FA youth modules and is working towards his level 2. Lewis will be completing is UEFA B Licence throughout 2017.
